Last time they were together
Was a year ago today

They all gathered in the living room to wait
After a couple hours just assumed his plane was late
But little did they know that old Charlie wouldnt show
Not now or forever

Yeah everyone was waiting
Down at his mom and dad’s
His Aunt Caroline and his good old Uncle Doug
They even lit the candles upon his cake
Figured anytime old Charlie would show up
But he didnt, no.

In a letter to his family and friends
He said nothin’s gonna feel as good again
That his memories were better left memories
And that was that.
